April meeting

We had a delightful time with three of our members demonstrating their style.

Sensei Dally Vergis

Sensei Dally Vergis did a beautiful arrangement using Aspidistra, Pandanus, Lily, and Bixa orellana in soft stone containers.

Sensei Prerana Mehta never fails to impress us with her unconventional materials.

Her first arrangement using hand crafted paper tubes, lily and Gypsophilia in a ceramic blue container was very innovative.

For her second arrangement, Prerana used white synthetic packaging, miniature chrysanthemums and a red pomegranate in a round dark green fibre glass container and an Indian pickle jar.

The last demonstration was by Chitra Thiagarajan. She built a framework with dry Bougenvillea branches. Adding fresh and dry Chinese finger palm fresh and Palm fronds, carnation and Chrysanthemum to this framework, she made a very interesting arrangement.

This was followed by a potluck lunch. It was a big spread with each member contributing a dish.

It was a day well spent.
