Remembering Sogetsu kaikan with the centrepiece at the annual exhibition

By Malathi sensei with assistance from Seethalakshmi and Chitra

I used the  centrepiece this year  to display a Sogetsu curriculam lesson, Variation 1
We always think of this as the most basic starting point, but you can even have a wide and large composition with this variation.

The granite slabs were on my mind as I had visited Sogetsu headquarters where granite space and levels greet you as you enter.

The central arrangement was complimented with the Morimono, variation 7 compositions in the urali

The highly polished granite slabs have really acted like water and the lines and materials have cast a shadow which enhances the effect, photos well taken. Malathi.
